The base of a parallelogram is thrice its height. If the area of the parallelogram is
972 cm , find the base and height of the parallelogram.

Therefore, The Base of Parallelogram is 3x

We know that,

Area = Base * Height

Area = 3x * Height

972 = 3x * Height

x = 972/3

x = 324

√324 = x

x = 18 cm

Therefore, Height of Parallelogram is 18cm and it's base is 18 * 3 = 54 cm.

Therefore:

Height = 18 cm

Base = 54 cm

X multiplied by 3x is 972
4x = 972
X = 972/4
=243
3x=729
So,
B = 243
H=729
