3x and x
3x×x=867
3x²=867
x²=289
x=17
therefore height is 17m and base is 51m

sprao534: what is 867

Let the Height of the parallelogram is x cm
Then base of the parallelogram is 3x cm
Area of the parallelogram is 2187 sq cm

As we know the formula
Area of the parallelogram = Base x Height
2187 = 3x \times x \\ 3x {}^{2} = 2187 \\ x {}^{2} = \frac{2187}{3} \\ x {}^{2} = 729 \\ x = \sqrt{729} \\ x = 27 \: cm
so Height is 27 cm
Base = 3 x 27 = 81 cm
