Given

  • Height → Let x
  • Base → 2x
  • Area → 338 sq. cm

To find

  • the base and the height

Solution

The base → 2x

and , height → x

Formula Used

Area of ||gm → B × H

where ,

||gm → Parallelogram

B → Base

H → Height

Since , Area = 338 sq. cm

Also ,

➝ 2x × x = 338 sq. cm

➝ 2x² = 338 sq. cm

➝ x² = 338 / 2

➝ x² = 169

➝ x = √169

➝ x = 13

Hence , Base → 2 × 13 = 26 cm

Height → 13 cm
