Answer:

let the base = 2x

and height= ×

Area of parallelogram= b×h

288= 2x × x

288= 2x^2

288/2= x^2

144= x^2

x = 12

hence height= 12 cm

and base which was 2x= 12×2

= 24cm

Hey Keshavdev !

Answer:

Height of the Parallelogram = 12 cm

Base of the Parallelogram = 24 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Base of a Parallelogram = 2 × Altitude

Area of the Parallelogram = 288 cm²

Formula :

Area of a Parallelogram = (b × h) units², Where

  • b is the Base.
  • h is the Altitude (Height).

Procedure :

A = b × h

As b = 2h,

⇒ 288 cm² = (2h) × h

⇒ 144 cm² = h²

⇒ h = √144 cm

∴ h = 12 cm

∴ b = 2(12) cm = 24 cm.

Thanks !
