Step-by-step explanation:

Let height be b.

∴ Base of ||gm ( ABCD) = Base height

= 2b b = 288

= = 144

= b = 12cm

  • Base is = 12 2 = 24cm
  • Height is = 12 cm

{ \large{ \sf{ \underbrace{\underline{\bigstar \:Question}}}}}

The base of a parallelogram is \sf\color{red}{twice} its height. If the area of the parallelogram is \tt\color{orchid}{288\: cm}

\bold{We\: have\: to\: find\: :-}

\sf\color{purple}{Base\: and\:height}

\bold{Given\: :-}

\tt{Area\: of \:parallelogram}

\bold\color{navy}{= 288 cm²}

\bold{We\: know\: that:}

\tt{Area\: of \:a\: parallelogram}

 base \times height

\bold{Let's\: do\: it \::-}

Let the height of the parallelogram be\sf\color{red}{x\: cm,} then, base = \sf\color{red}{2x\: cm}

\textbf{∴ According to the question –}

2x\times x \sf{288 \:cm²}

\sf{2x² \: =\: 288 cm²}

\sf{x²\:=\: 144 \:cm²}

\sf{x\: =\: 12 cm}

\sf\color{violet}{Hence}

height of the parallelogram would be\bold{12 \:cm.}
