Given:

• Base of the parallelogram = Twice the height of the parallelogram

• Area of the parallelogram = 72cm²

To calculate:

• Height of the parallelogram.

Calculation:

Let the height of the parallelogram be "h".

According to the question,

  • Base = 2h

[Since, the base of the parallelogram is twice the height of the parallelogram.]

We know that,

→ Area of the parallelogram = Base × Height

→ 72 cm² = ( 2h × h ) cm²

→ 72 = 2h²

 \sf {\cancel {\dfrac{72}{2}} } = h²

→ 36 = h²

→ √36 = h

Finding the square root of 36 :

⇒ 36 = 6 × 6

⇒√36 = √6²

⇒ √36 = 6

____

6 cm = h

Henceforth, height of the parallelogram is 6 cm.
