Length of the base = l = 21.5 m

Breadth of the base = b = 10 m

Area of a rectangle = l*b = 21.5 * 10 =215 m

To paint the base of tank, cost of painting is ₹ 2.50 per sq m

therefore, Area of base * Cost of painting = 215 * 2.50 = 537.5

ANSWER: Therefore the total cost of painting is Rs. 537.5
