Given:-

☆Base of right-angled triangle=8cm

☆Hypotenuse of the right-angled triangle=17cm

To find:-

☆Area of the triangle

Solution:-

According to 'Pythagoras Theorem',we know that:-

=>H²=B²+P²

Where:-

H is hypotenuse of the triangle

B is base of the triangle

P is perpendicular of the triangle

=>H²=B²+P²

=>(17)²=(8)²+P²

=>P²=289-64

=>P²=225

=>P=15cm

Thus,perpendicular/height of the triangle is 15cm.

Now,we know that area of a triangle is:-

=>1/2×base×height

=>1/2×8×15

=>4×15

=>60cm²

Thus,area of the right-angled triangle is 60cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • ☆Base of right-angled triangle=8cm

  • ☆Hypotenuse of the right-angled triangle=17cm

To find:-

☆Area of the triangle

Solution:-

  • According to 'Pythagoras Theorem',we know that:-

Where:-

•H is hypotenuse of the triangle

•B is base of the triangle

•P is perpendicular of the triangle

=>H²=B²+P²

=>(17)²=(8)²+P²

=>P²=289-64

=>P²=225

=>P=15cm

  • Thus,perpendicular/height of the triangle is 15cm.

Now,we know that area of a triangle is:-

=>1/2×base×height

=>1/2×8×15

=>4×15

=>60cm²

Thus,area of the right-angled triangle is 60cm².
