Answer:

\displaystyle{336 \ cm^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ;

Base of triangle is 48 cm .

Hypotenuse of triangle is 50 cm .

We have to find area of triangle .

First let's find perpendicular .

We have pythagoras theorem

\displaystyle{H^2=P^2+B^2}

Putting values here

\displaystyle{50^2=P^2+48^2}\\\\\\\displaystyle{2500=P^2+2,304}\\\\\\\displaystyle{P^2=2500-2304}\\\\\\\displaystyle{P=\sqrt{196}}\\\\\\\displaystyle{P=14 \ cm}

Now let find area of triangle ;

\displaystyle{Area=1/2\times base \times height}\\\\\\\displaystyle{Area = 1/2\times48\times14}\\\\\\\displaystyle{Area=24\times14 \ cm^2}\\\\\\\displaystyle{Area = 336 \ cm^2}

Thus we get area of triangle is  \displaystyle{336 \ cm^2}
