The Formula for the height of cone is :-

h = 3 \frac{v}{\pi {r}^{2} }

Here, it's given cone has a diameter of 15 cm

D = 15 cm

So , R = 15/2 cm

Slant height is 8.5 cm

We know that,

Slant height = √ r² + h²

8.5 = 15/2² +

8.5² = 15/2² +

8.5² = 7.5² +

72.25 = 56.25 +

72.25 - 56.25 = h²

= 16

h = 16

h = 4 × 4

h = 4 cm
