Question:-the base of a right triangle is 48 cm and its hypotenuse is 50 cm long. the area of the triangle is?

Solution:-)

GIVEN THAT - Base of Right∆ =48

Also given- Hypotenuse of Right∆=50

_______________________________

Hypotenuse² =Base² + Height²
(50)² = (48)² + Height²
2500 - 2304 = Height²
196 = Height²
14cm = Height
48cm = Base
50cm = Height

Area of a triangle = 1/2 bh
1/2 * 48 * 14
= 336cm²

 \bf \large \it{Hey \:  User!!!}

given the base of the right angle triangle = 48cm and it's hypotenuse is = 50cm

let the sides of the right angle triangle be a, b and c where a is base, b is height and c is hypotenuse.

by Pythagoras theorem :-

>> a² + b² = c²
>> 48² + b² = 50²
>> 2304 + b² = 2500
>> b² = 2500 - 2304
>> b² = 196
>> b = √196
>> b = 14cm

hence, the height of the right angle triangle is 14cm.

formula for finding the area of. right angle triangle is 1/2 × base × height.

therefore area of the right angle triangle = 1/2 × 48 × 14
= 24 × 14
= 336cm²
