Answer: The base is 900m and height is 300m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the triangle field = ( 783 ÷ 58 ) hectare

                                         = ( 783 ÷ 58 ) x 10000 sq m

                                         = 135000 sq m

Now, let b and h be the base and altitude of the field.

So, according to the question, b = 3h

Thus, by area formula,

      bh / 2 = 135000 sq m

⇒    3h² = 270000 sq m

⇒    h² = ( 270000 sq m ) / 3

⇒    h² = 90000 sq m

By taking the answer closest to 2 decimal places, we get

⇒    h =  300 m

⇒    b =  900 m
