The base of a triangle is 4cm longer than its altitude.If the area of the triangle is 48sq.cm then find its altitude& base

Let the altitude be x
so, base will be 4+x
Area of triangle= 1/2×base×altitude
48cm=1/2×x×4+x
48cm×2/1×1/4=x+x
24 cm =2x
24 cm/2=x
12cm =x
12=altitude. so, 12+4=16 is base
