Answer:

Let for the triangle height be x is and base be 3x.

Given, area of the triangle= 486 cm²

Since we know area of a triangle

=½×base×height

Therefore according to the question,

=>½×base×height=Area

=>½×3x×x=486

=>3x²=486×2

=> x²=972/3

=>x=√324

=>x=18cm

Therefore ,

height=x=18cm

base=3x=3×18cm=54cm

Step-by-step explanation:

  • height (h) = h
  • base (b) = 3h
  • area (a) = 486 cm²

\boxed{\sf Area_{(triangle)}=\dfrac{1}{2}×b×h}

\longmapsto \sf \dfrac{1}{2}×3h×h=486

\longmapsto \sf 3h^2=972

\longmapsto \sf h^2=324

\longmapsto \sf h=18 \: cm

\longmapsto \sf b = 3h=3×18=54 \: cm
