The base of a triangular field is three times its altitude .If the cost of levelling the field at rupees 30.50 per sq. meter is rupees 6588,find its base and height​

Answer:

let the altitude of triangular field be x .

so, the base will be 3 times of x = 3x.

area of triangular field = total cost / cost per sq. meter= 6588/30.50= 216 m²

so,the area of the triangle = 1/2 × base × height

216 = 1/2 × 3x × x

216 × 2 / 3 = x²

432/3 = x²

x= √144= 12

so,the base = 3× 12 = 36

height= 12
