the base of a triangular field is three times its height .if the cost of cultivating the field at Rs 36 per hectare is Rs486, find its base and height.​

Answer:

Let the height of triangular field be =h, then base = 3h

Now cost of per hectare is 36 and total cost =486

so, area of field = 486/36=13.5

we know that area of triangle is 1/2×b×h

therfore, 1/2× 3h×h=13.5

h^2=13.5×2/3=9

h= under root 9=3

and base =3h=3×3=9 ans
