Answer:

  • 3000 N/ is the required pressure .

Explanation:

According to the Question

It is given that,

  • Dimension of box = 24cm × 30cm
  • Force ,F = 216N

we have to calculate the pressure exerted by the box on the bed .

As we know that Pressure is defined as the Force acting per unit area .

Firstly we calculate the base area of box.

Base area of box

→ Area = 24×30

→ Area = 720 cm²

changing into m²

→ Area = 720/10000 = 0.072 m²

Now, calculating the pressure exerted by the box on the road .

  • Pressure = Force/Area

substituting the value we get

⇢Pressure = 216/0.072

⇢Pressure = 216000/72

⇢Pressure = 3000 N/m²

  • Hence, the pressure exerted by box on the road is 3000 Pa.
