Area = b/4V4a2-b2

168=48/4V4a^2-48^2

672 = 48v 4a^2-48^2

v4,a^2-48^2 = 14

squaring

4a^2-48^2 = I96

4a ^2-2304 = 196

4a^2 = 25oo

a2 = 625

a=v625 = 25cm

are of the equal sides of iso sceles

triangle is 25cm
