Given : The base of an isosceles right triangle is 30 cm.

In an isosceles right triangle two sides are equal containing an right angle.

Therefore, base = altitude = 30 cm

Area of triangle ∆ = ½ × base × height

Area of triangle ∆ = ½ × 30 × 30

Area of triangle ∆ = 15 × 30

Area of triangle ∆ = 450 cm²

Hence, area of an isosceles right triangle is 450 cm².

Option (D) 450 cm² is correct.

Base = 30 cm

Since it is an isosceles and right angled triangle, the height will be equal to the base.

Area = 1/2 × base × height

Area = 1/2 × 30 × 30

Area = 450 sq cm

Answer:- (D) 450 sq cm
