the base of an isosceles triangle is 12 cm and its perimeter is 32cm. find its area

Let's take unknown side is x
Now
x+x+12=32
2x=20
x=10
Since isosceles triangle have 2 equal sides
so sides would be
10, 10, 12
Now apply heron formula

 \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}
where s= (a+b+c)/2
