given:
base =12 cm
to find side a and b=
perimeter=12+2x. (isoceles triangle have two equal sides.)
32=12+2x
32-12=2x
20=2x
20/2=X
10=x.



now , to find area ..
s=p/2=32/2=16 cm.

by using Heron's formula,
area =√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)
=√16(16-10)(16-10)(16-12)
=√16(6)(6)(4)
=√4*4*6*6*4
=√2*2*2*2*3*2*3*2*2*2
=2*2*2*2*3
=48cm^2


therefore the area of the isoceles triangle is 48cm^2.
