Area of a triangle = 1/2 (base)(height)

A(t) = 0.5 (16)(h) = 48

h = 48 / (0.5)(16) = 6 cm

The triangle can be considered as 2 triangles with

base 16/2 and height 6

the 3rd side of these triangles is (8^2 + 6^2)^(1/2) = (64+36)^0.5 = 10

Perimeter of original triangle is 10+10+16 = 36 cm.
