The base of an isosceles triangle is 24 cm and the perimeter is 50 cm. The area of the
triangle, If the base is not equal to the other two sides is_______________​

Answer:

let the other two sides be x. (triangle is isosceles)

therefore 2x+24=50

= 2x=26

=x=13

hence the other two sides are 13cm.

using pythagoras theorem the height is equal to 5 cm.

hence the area will be,

1/2*24*5=60 cm.sq
