The base of an isosceles triangle is 24cm, if its perimeter is 5 dm, then find its area?​

base = 24cm

the two sides of isosceles triangle will be equal

therefore, let each side be xcm

perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides

50 =24+x+x

50-24=2x

26=2x

x=13cm

s=13+13+24/2

=25

by herons formula

area of triangle =√25(25-13)(25-13)(25-24)

=√25(12)(12)(1)

=√25*144

=60cm^2
