7.9+x+x=16.7
2x=16.7-7.9
2x=8.8
x=8.8/2= 4.4 cm
each side = 4.4cm each

Iet, the sides of isosceles triangle are x,x,y.
The perimeter of isosceles triangle=x+x+y
16.7=2x+7.9
16.7-7.9=8.8
2x=8.8
x=4.4

So,
The sides are 4.4, 4.4, 7.9
