so let equal side to be x
perimeter = 16.7 ( given )
base = 7.9 ( given )
so in triangle
7.9 + x+ x= 16.7
2x = 16.7 - 7 .9
2x = 8.8
x = 8.8 /2
x = 4.4
so length of each equal side is 4.4
