The base of an Isosceles triangle is 9cm . The perimeter of triangle is 15cm. What is the length of remaining equal sides?

As the given triangle is isosceles so its both sides will be of the same length .

Lets take the equal sides as s .

Perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides

15 = 9 + s + s

15 = 9 + 2s

15 - 9 = 2s

6 = 2s

6/2 = s

3 = s

Length of last two equal sides will be 3 cm and therefore sides of triangle are 9 cm , 3 cm and 3 cm
