The length of each equal sides are 12 cm and length of base is 6 cm

Solution:

Isosceles triangle has two equal sides and one unequal side

Let "x" be the length of equal sides

The base of an isosceles triangle is half the other two equal sides

Base = \frac{x}{2}

The perimeter of the triangle  30 cm

Perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides

x + x + \frac{x}{2} = 30\\\\2x + 2x + x = 30 \times 2\\\\5x = 60\\\\x = 12

Therefore,

Base = \frac{12}{2} = 6

Thus length of each equal sides are 12 cm and length of base is 6 cm
