Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be length of equal sides of isoscles triangle & y be length of base

Perimeter = 2x+y

2x+y=62

Given [x=y+4]

2(y+4)+y=62

3y=62-8

3y=54

[y=18 cm] and x= y+4=22 cm

∴ length of equal side is 22 cm & length of base is 18 cm.

Answer:

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcm

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3     54−3=3x

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3     54−3=3x     51=3x

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3     54−3=3x     51=3x     x=351

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3     54−3=3x     51=3x     x=351⇒x=17

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3     54−3=3x     51=3x     x=351⇒x=17So the sides of triangle are 17cm and the base side of triangle 20cm.

Let the side of an isosceles triangle be x cm since opposite sides of an isosceles triangle are equal. So another side =xcmAs given the base side is 3cm more then the other side.So base side =x+3cm⇒ Perimeter of a triangle = sum of all sides ⇒54=x+x+x+3     54=3x+3     54−3=3x     51=3x     x=351⇒x=17So the sides of triangle are 17cm and the base side of triangle 20cm.Hence, solved.
