The base of an isosceles triangle measures 24 cm and its area is 60cm2 . Find its perimeter.

60cm2 =24※h/2
60=12h
h=5

The area of isosceles triangle = base × hieght /2
given base = 24
by above formula , hieght = 2 ×area/ base
hieght = 2 × 60/ 24= 5
by Pythagoras therom
hieght = √(b^2 -(a^2/4))
where a is base ,b is isosceles side
b = √(h^2+(a^2/4))
by substituting we get
b = 13
perimeter = a + 2b
= 24+ 2×13
=50
