GivEn:

  • Sides of triangular prism are 3cm , 4cm. and 5cm.
  • Height of the triangular prism is 10cm.

To find:

  • The volume of the prism if its height is 10cm?

Solution:

☯ Lets consider height of the triangular prism be h.

According to the Question:

Volume of triangle = 1/2bh

➯ 1/2(3 + 4 + 5) × 10

➯ 1/2(12) × 10

➯ 6 × 10

60cm³

Thus, Volume of the triangular prism is 60cm³

⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Now, Let's verify this,

We know that,

Volume of triangle = 1/2bh

➯ 1/2(3 + 4 + 5) × 10 = 60

➯ 6 × 10 = 60

60 = 60

LHS = RHS

Hence, Verified!

More to know:

  • Area of triangle = ½ × base × height

  • Heron's Formula = √s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)

  • Sum of all angles of a triangle is 180°.
