Answer:

by hypotenuse theorem

50 square = 48 square - side square

2500= 2304 -side square

2500 - 2304= side square

196= side square

taking square root side =14 c m

height of the triangle is 14 cm

area of the triangle is =1/2 base × height

that is = to

1/2 × 14 x 48

7 x 48

= 336

Answer:

We are given with a right-angled triangle whose measures are

Base = 48 cm Hypotenuse = 50 cm

Using Pythagoras Theorem: Hypotenuse2 = Base2 + Perpendicular2

502 = 482 + Perpendicular2

or Perpendicular2 = 2500 – 2304 or Perpendicular = 14 cm

Now, Area of a triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height

= 1/2 × 48 cm × 14 cm = 336 cm2
