The area of the parallelogram = 867m
B × H = 867
3x × x = 867
3x2 = 867
x2 = 867/3
x2 = 289
x = squares root of 289
x = 17
Base of the parellelogram = 3x
= 3 × 17
= 51
Height of the parellelogram = x = 17

Let the height of a parallelogram be "x".

and, the base of a parallelogram in thrice its height.i.e, "3x".

Given :

The Area of parallelogram,

= 867 \ m^2

To Find :

The base of parallelogram = ?

The height of parallelogram = ?

Solution :

As we know,

The Area of parallelogram = base × height

On putting the given value in the above formula, we get

867=3x\times x\\\\867=3x^2\\\\x^2=289\\\\x=\sqrt{289}\\ \\x=17

Now,

The height of parallelogram = 17 \ m

The base of parallelogram = 3\times 17 = 51 \ m
