let the height be x

then the base will be 2x

as per the formula area of parallelogram is base × height

hence x×2x=162

2x²=162

x²=162/2

=81

x=√81

= 9cm

if X equal to 9 CM then height is equal to 9 cm and base is equal to 2x that is 2×9 is equal to 18 CM
