Let base= x   ∴height= 2x

Area of field= \frac{1}{2}bh= \frac{1}{2}*2x*x= x^{2}

Cost of cultivating the field= \frac{area of the field}{rate of cost of cultivation}

1000= \frac{x^2}{250}

x^{2}= 250*1000= 250000

∴x= √250000= 500sq.hectares

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Area of the field = 40000 m^2

● Explanation -

Area of the field is given by -

Area of the field = total cost / rate of cultivation

Area of the field = 1000 / 250

Area of the field = 4 hectares

Area of the field = 40000 m^2

But area of the field is given by -

Area of the field = 1/2 × base × altitude

Area of the field = 1/2 × 2×altitude × altitude

40000 = altitude^2

Altitude = √(40000)

Altitude = 200 m

Thanks dear...
