Let base= x   ∴height= 2x

Area of field= $\frac{1}{2}$bh= $\frac{1}{2}$*2x*x= $x^{2}$

Cost of cultivating the field= $\frac{area of the field}{rate of cost of cultivation}$

1000= $\frac{x^2}{250}$

$x^{2}$= 250*1000= 250000

∴x= √250000= 500sq.hectares
