volume of cylinder(voc) = pi × r^2 × h
100℅ increase in r and h makes them 2r and 2h
so, voc(new)= pi × (2r)^2 × 2h
Therefore, voc(new) = 8 × voc, because 2^3 is 8 and a^b × a^c = a^(b+c) as per exponents rule. Here a=2, b=2 and c=1.
Now, percentage change(pc) = ((8voc-voc) / voc) ×100 = (7voc / voc) × 100 = 700%
So there will be 700% increase in volume of cylinder.
