Answer:

Given :-

  • The base radius and height of a right circular cylinder are 14 cm and 5 cm respectively.

To Find :-

  • What is the curved surface area of a cylinder.

Formula Used :-

\boxed{\bold{\large{C.S.A\: of\: a\: cylinder\: =\: 2{\pi}rh}}}

where,

  • C.S.A = Curved Surface Area
  • r = Radius
  • h = Height

Solution :-

Given :

  • Radius = 14 cm
  • Height = 5 cm

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\sf C.S.A =\: 2 \times \dfrac{22}{\cancel{7}} \times {\cancel{14}} \times 5

\sf C.S.A =\: 2 \times 22 \times 2 \times 5

\sf C.S.A =\: 2 \times 44 \times 5

\sf C.S.A =\: 88 \times 5

\sf\bold{\red{C.S.A =\: 440\: c{m}^{2}}}

\therefore The curved surface area of a cylinder is 440 cm² .

\huge\bf{Answer :- }

Given :-

  • Radius of the base of circular cylinder = 14cm

  • Height of the Cylinder = 5cm

To Find :-

  • Curved surface area of the Cylinder

Formula :-

\large\sf\fcolorbox{red}{pink}{Curved surface area of cylinder = 2πrh}

where,

  • r = Radius of the base of cylinder

  • h = height of the Cylinder

Solution :-

By substituting values According to the formula,

⇒ 2×22/7×14cm×5cm

⇒ 44/7×14cm×5cm

⇒ 88cm×5cm

440cm²

Hence, The Curved surface area of the Cylinder is 440cm²
