Given base and height of cylinder = base and height of cone

Let base = r and height = h

Also give volume of cone = V

We know volume of cylinder = πr²h = V

V/π = r²h ------(A)

and volume of cone = πr²h/3 ------(B)

Now reducing the value of A in B we get,

Volume of cone = (π/3)×V/π

Thus

Volume of cone = V/3
