Photosynthesis causes growth . Respiration causes thinning. Photosynthesis needs sunlight. Respiration does not need sunlight. Photosynthesis requires chlorophyll. Respiration does not need chlorophyll.photosynthesis gives out oxygen. Respiration gives out carbon dioxide
