In 1529, the battle of Ghaghra was fought between Muhammad Lodi and Babur. Muhammad Lodi was aided by the sultan of Bengal Nusrat Shah. Babur again turned victorious and it consolidated his power in India. On 26 December, 1530 Babur died in his palace of Agra due to heavy drinking.
