Actually , they were classical singers ... member of an order of religious singers of Bengal known for their unconventional behaviour and for the freedom and spontaneity of their mystical verse ... usually sang sufism nd they were the followers of Lord Vishnu ...
but they don't graced mughal court ...
we can't say that they were bhakti saints because they don't used to meditate nd they were singers ...
I think the third one is more appropriate...
