The Bay of Bengal is located on the northeastern part of the Indian Ocean. It is bordered by Sri Lanka and India on the west, Bangladeshon the north and Myanmar on the east. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands along the eastern boundary separate the Bay from the adjacent Andaman Sea.
