to my experience in 2017's beauty and the beast.....it seems pretty nice and yeah also kind of almost refering to the retro disney's beauty and the beast.....but there is one thing , er which changed the movie a lot is that they talked about paris where they showed about her mother who was having plague, and beast figured it out.....and also that they traveled somewhere with magic....ya there is magic but they time traveled! :) ;) which is kinda sci fi
