One evening, I was walking with my grandfather. I saw a girl selling pens on the road. She was of my age. She seemed quite poor in appearance. Me and my grandfather went near her. She was happy and recommended a pen for my grandfather. He probably realized that she was not meant to be selling pens there and asked "Where are your parents dear?". She answered that her father died long back and she and mother was on their own now. Grandfather brought all the pens she had in stock. She was so happy and invited us to meet her mother. In her house her mother was washing her uniform for her to wear next day. When her mother saw her, she was shocked and asked "Why aren't you selling pens? What are you doing with these strangers?". She replied her mother "Mother what are you saying. This good man and his son brought all the pens. They came to meet you.". The mother apologized and was thanking grandfather for his good tought. Grandfather gave half the pens he brought to her and encouraged her to keep her study well and take care of her mother. The sight of her and her mother struggling to make the ends meet has always been in my memory. Grandfather tought me a great lesson that day to Open our eyes to the struggling's of others and help them the way we could.
