Given: Ram works at a rate such he will end a chunk of labor in twenty-four hrs, however, he solely works at this rate for sixteen hrs.

After that, he's employed at a rate such he will do the complete add eighteen hrs.

According to the question,

Ram’s sixteen time unit work = 16/24 = 2/3.

Remaining work = one – 2/3 = 1/3.

Using work and time formula:

This will be completed in 1/3 × eighteen i.e. 6 hrs.

So, the total time is taken to finish work = sixteen + 6= twenty-two hrs.

Answer:

22 hrs.

Explanation:

in beginning efficiency to do work = 1/24

work done in 16 hours= 1/24*16=0.66

work left = 0.33

efficiency to do work after 16 hours= 1/18

time to do left work= 0.33/time=1/18

= 6 hour so time to do total work = 16 + 6 = 22 hours ( do tell me if you have another way, vote if it helps)
