On Christmas eve the author was moving on the road suddenly he saw an old roll top desk. The desk was in very bad condition. The author buys it and deliver it to his house and when author was checking the desk then one drawer was not opening. He forcefully pulls the drawer and he saw a secret drawer in it. He opened it and see a letter written on it "burried with me when times comes". He open the letter and it was written "that the britishers and Germans was fighting in no man's land. And then on Christmas eve the both army was making peace. And then they play a match of football and the Germans win the match. Then the author read the address written on the letter and go to the Bridport but the house was burnt so he asked the neighbours to tell the address of Mrs. Macpherson.
