The blocks are connected as shown in the figure and on a horizontal frictionless table. they are pulled to right with a force F=50N. If m1 =5kg, m2=10kg and m3 =15 kg. Calculate T1 and T2.?

For all three parts, use Newton's second law, F = ma.
(a) The total mass of the system is
m = m1+m2+m3 = 12.5 kg + 24.7 kg + 31.0 kg = 68.2 kg
so the acceleration is
a = T1/m = (64.0 N) / (68.2 kg) = 0.938 m/s2.
(b) T1 = m1a = (12.5 kg)(0.938 m/s2) = 11.7 N
(c) T2 = (m1+m2)a = (12.5 kg + 24.7 kg)(0.938 m/s2)
= (37.2 kg)(0.938 m/s2) = 34.9 N

We know that, total mass of the system = m1+m2+m3=5+10+15=30kg
Now,F=mxa
a=F/m
=50/30=5/3
F-T1=mxa=(m1+m2+m3)a
T1-T2=m2xa T2=m1xa
T2=5x(5/3)=25/3N
T1-25/3 =10x(5/3)
T1=50/3 +25/3 =75/3 =25N
