The blood vessels which carry blood to the heart are arteries and veins. Human heart has four chambers :

  • Left Aorta
  • Right Aorta
  • Left ventricle
  • Right ventricle

The blood enters the right atrium and passes throught the right ventricle. The right ventricle function is to pump the blood to the lungs where it becomes oxygenated. oxygenated blood is back to the heart by pulmonary veins and it enters in the left atrium.Heart is also known as the pumping organ because it pumps the blood. Heart circulates the blood to the whole body. The blood vessels that are connected to heart are aorta, the superior vena cava, the inferior vena cava, the pulmonary artery. Arteries carry the blood from the heart to the other organs and tissues of the body.
