The bob of a simple pendulum takes 0.25 seconds to go from one extreme position to the mean position calculate the frequency of the pendulum

Answer:Time taken,t =0.25 sec×4= 1sec

Frequency,f =1/t

=1/1 ie. 1 Hz

Note: Value of t will be the time it takes to complete one cycle or in other words going from mean to extreme then back to mean and then to the other extreme and again back. This makes 4 times of time taken to go from extreme to mean ie 0.25 as given in the question.
