The time period is the time taken by the pendulum to travel from its mean position to one extreme position , then to another extreme position and back to its mean position.

i.e. time taken from  ( O to A + A to B + B to O)

According to the question, time taken from O to A is 0.25 s.

So, the time period is 0.25 * 4  = 1 sec
